Base URLs & markets
The hostname selects the market, its currency, and the storefront used in product links. Paths are relative to /api/v1.
These are the production hosts. A credential can be restricted to particular markets, and your account may be issued against a different environment — confirm the base URL with Cru before deploying an integration.
| MARKET | CURRENCY | PRODUCTION BASE URL |
|---|---|---|
| United Kingdom uk_en | GBP | https://uk.cruworldwine.com/api/v1 |
| United States us_en | USD | https://us.cruworldwine.com/api/v1 |
| Hong Kong hk_en | HKD | https://hk.cruworldwine.com/api/v1 |
| Singapore sg_en | SGD | https://sg.cruworldwine.com/api/v1 |
| Europe eu_en | EUR | https://eu.cruworldwine.com/api/v1 |
| United Arab Emirates ae_en | AED | https://ae.cruworldwine.com/api/v1 |
| China cn_en | CNY | https://cn.cruworldwine.com/api/v1 |
China (cn_en) is not a full market: Cru’s offers are not priced for it, so its offer book is empty, and a connected app cannot be connected to it.
Market restrictions
A credential can be restricted to particular markets, and a connected app works only on the Cru sites the customer allowed. An unpermitted hostname returns AUTH_STORE_NOT_ALLOWED / 403, including for /ping. Compare details.store with details.allowed_stores in the error and change the hostname, not the permissions.
Currency
The market you call decides the currency of Cru’s books: every price in /market/bids, /market/offers and /wines is in that market’s currency, and each market object says which in currency. Each bid is converted at today’s rate from the currency it was placed in; offers are quoted in the market’s own currency.
Your own bids are quoted the same way, as My Bids on Cru quotes them: in the market’s currency, converted at today’s rate from the currency each bid was placed in, which bid_currency names. A new price you send for a bid is in the market’s currency too.
Your portfolio and listings are in the market’s currency too, as Cru’s portfolio page shows them: a cost or asking price is converted at today’s rate from the currency the wine was bought or listed in. Change a listing priced in another currency and it is relisted in the market’s, unless it is a supplier offer, which stays in your offer feed’s. Your purchases are never converted: each carries its order’s currency, beside the amount. Your sales are in the market’s currency, as Cru’s Sold list shows them, never at today’s rate: what you paid at the rate of the day you bought it, a sale of wine held outside Cru at the rate of the day it sold, and any other sale at the rate recorded with the unit.
The same hosts serve OAuth and MCP
Each market hostname also answers the OAuth endpoints for connected apps and the MCP server at /api/mcp. Each host is its own OAuth issuer: connect on the market the customer trades in, and the token works on the other Cru sites the customer allows as well.
