How authentication works

Cru issues partners a CLIENT-KEY and CLIENT-SECRET, sent as headers on every request. There is no token to fetch first. Writes run at once and carry a reference the playground generates.

Request

Prepares a bid to BUY a wine at a price per unit the customer chooses. Documentation ↗

Carried out straight away, with no confirmation step. Sending the same reference again returns the first result, so each send gets a new one. You will be asked to confirm before it is sent.

Arguments

The wine, from search_wines.

How many units (cases or bottles, as the LWIN18's pack size says).

Price per unit the customer will pay, in the market currency, e.g. 30780 or 30780.50.

Only accept stock already on this Cru site.

Transfer the wine to the customer's storage on this site when the bid fills.

Optional reference of the customer's own for this bid, kept with it and shown by list_my_bids. It must not already be on another of their bids. Letters, numbers, spaces and . / # : _ -

API credentials

Enter the client key and secret issued by Cru. They are kept for this browser tab’s session — a reload keeps them, closing the tab or clearing them ends them.

Credentials are never included in copied examples, and are redacted from anything the console prints back.
